FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a break-and-enter suspect.

According to police, on January 2nd, 2024, the Fort St. John RCMP received a report of a break-in to a business on the 9300 block of 102nd Street.

Officers received video surveillance, and at approximately 2:35 a.m., the suspect jumped the business’s fence and cut locks, accessing structures in the yard to steal tools and other items.

He then left the area on foot, said police.

Police describe the suspect as 35 to 45 years old, approximately five feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. In the surveillance footage, he was clean-shaven, wearing dark-framed glasses, a black hoodie, a dark toque, black pants, tan shoes with white soles and red mechanic-type gloves.

The Fort St. John RCMP continues to investigate and requests that anyone with information on the suspect or dashcam video of the area at the time of the incident contact the detachment at 250-787-8100.
