Have you been dreaming of hosting your own video podcast, but are not quite sure how to get it off the ground? TELUS STORYHIVE is excited to launch its first Video Podcast program. This is your chance to share your community conversations, candid discussions or dive deep into topics you’re curious about. Your mic, your platform.
STORYHIVE is a community made up of local content creators who are passionate about amplifying their voice through local storytelling. The newly launched Video Podcast program is encouraging people across B.C. and Alberta to apply, inviting aspiring content creators and podcasters from small communities to dream big – no experience is necessary.
Successful applicants will receive $12,000 in production funding, customized online training sessions, a community of support and distribution to an audience of over one million viewers on TELUS Optik TV and STORYHIVE’s YouTube Channel.

“It’s an exciting time at TELUS STORYHIVE. Video podcasts are proving to be an impactful medium that provide space to share local stories and facilitate meaningful discussions,” TELUS STORYHIVE Northern B.C. Territory Manager, Kent Donguines says. “We are really looking forward to the projects that come through the Video Podcast program. Whether you’re in a small community in Northern B.C. or a big city, we want to connect with you.” STORYHIVE is looking for original and compelling stories with a blend of solo or interview style audio with video elements.
New and emerging video podcasters as well as past recipients from STORYHIVE are invited to apply for the new Video Podcast program at storyhive.com/apply by January 31, 2024.
