DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The Conservative Party of British Columbia has announced Dawson Creek’s Larry Neufeld as a candidate in Peace River South during next year’s provincial election.

According to the B.C. Conservative Party’s website, Neufeld does not support the current political structure and is determined to provide a “strong voice” for residents of the South Peace and hopes to make the region a “better place.”

A former Reserve Infantry Platoon Commander, Neufeld’s political views align with fiscal conservatism and the belief that one should not borrow money for things beyond their means.

Neufeld advocates strengthening and re-establishing law and order in the province, emphasizing personal responsibility for an individual’s actions and the consequences to follow.

The current Peace River South MLA is BC United’s Mike Bernier, whose candidacy for re-election was declared early last month.

The next provincial election will be held on October 19th, 2024.
