FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Interior Savings Credit Union is asking members to vote on a merger with Gulf & Fraser Credit Union.
Voting opened on October 20th and closes on November 6th at 4:30 p.m.
This would be Interior Savings’ second merger in a year after officially combining with North Peace Savings on July 1st.
Interior Savings Credit Union believes that by combining to form a province-wide credit union, the companies will be able to do more for members, employees and communities while maintaining personalized service and financial advice.
The merger will also bring 55 branches across the province, more resources to invest in digital solutions, innovative products, and enhanced cybersecurity, as well as greater training and career opportunities for employees.
More information and frequently asked questions can be found on the merger’s website, Better Together.
In May, 82.7 per cent of North Peace Credit Union members voted in favour of a merger with Interior Savings Credit Union.
