FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Pomeroy Sport Centre oval has reopened after a brief closure due to mechanical issues.

According to City of Fort St. John communications manager Ryan Harvey, the mechanical issues involved the lift that transports the Zamboni to the upper level where the oval is located.

The speedskating oval, which initially opened for the season in August, closed on Monday and reopened on Thursday.
