Hudson’s Hope RCMP receives full confession on death of a family cat
A Hudson’s Hope resident was charged with mischief and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal after the death of a family cat in the community

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — A Hudson’s Hope resident was charged with mischief and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal after the death of a family cat in the community.
The Hudson’s Hope RCMP says the case was solved on October 15th, and charges were laid after the resident confessed to their involvement in the incident.
The detachment received the report of a dead family cat found in the area of Paquette Avenue and Kyllo Street on September 5th.

The family reported to police that when their cat had not returned home, they followed the GPS collar and found her wrapped in several bags and discarded in a trash can outside a business.
When the veterinarian checked the cat, it was confirmed she had drowned.
The Hudson’s Hope RCMP says the file is now before the courts.
