UPDATE: Pedestrian transported to hospital after being struck by vehicle

UPDATE: The 90th Street and 100th Avenue intersection has reopened to traffic.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — An individual was transported to hospital after being struck by a vehicle at the 90th Street and 100th Avenue intersection on Wednesday morning, according to the Fort St. John Fire Department.

RCMP spokesperson Corporal Madonna Saunderson said the call was received by local police at 10:16 a.m. However, she adds no further information is available at this time.

Firefighters and paramedics were also at the scene of the incident, the fire department confirmed.

Traffic was blocked in both directions at 90th Street, and a single lane was open on 100th Avenue.
