FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The bear sighted in Fort St. John on Thursday has been safely relocated to a wilderness setting outside of city limits, according to the BC Conservation Office.

The agency said it received numerous reports of a black bear in the community. The black bear had no history of aggressive behaviour or conflicts, said a conservation officer.

The BCCOS would like to remind residents that with fall officially in the air, it is especially important for everyone to “keep wildlife wild.”
