Over the span of several weeks in August, the Hudson’s Hope RCMP received numerous reports of a deer that decided to try his hoof at creating a dream catcher by means of entangling twine amongst his antlers. Unfortunately, this deer was quite unsuccessful in creating a masterpiece and was left with twine wrapped around not only his antlers but also around his neck, which started to hinder his movements. With assistance from the BCCOS, the deer was located and provided a cocktail, which left him needing the “hair of the dog”, but this allowed members to successfully remove the twine and return him to the wild as a failed artist. No deer were harmed in this operation.
