Jeff Roman, media relations for the BMO, said the organization is committed to seamlessly transitioning employees and clients.

“We will ensure clients are able to transition smoothly and look forward to serving them at our Fort St, John branch,” said Roman.

Roman was unable to provide specific details regarding the reasons behind the closure, though he mentioned that the current branch in Dawson Creek is not well-equipped to handle the preferences of modern clients.

“As our clients’ preferences in banking evolve, we routinely evaluate all our operations, including our branches, to ensure we are well-equipped to cater to their changing needs,” said Roman.
