FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — North Peace Secondary School (NPSS) graduate Jayden Whitford is the recipient of the North Peace Airport Services’ annual $1,000 bursary.
Whitford was selected by the NPSS Selection Committee.
To be eligible for the bursary, a student must plan to pursue an education or career in aviation such as a commercial or private pilot, aviation maintenance, engineering or aerospace engineering, or any related airport field like tourism, airport management or business administration.
Whitford is currently studying engineering at UBC’s Okanagan Campus, hoping to specialize in electrical or mechanical engineering.
With an interest in designing, and creating an impact, aviation is a field Whitford would like to pursue in the future as well.
“Aviation is definitely something I’m interested in and something to explore down the road,” said Whitford.
