FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Fire Department quickly responded to a brush fire at Toboggan Hill Park on Tuesday.

Around noon on May 30th, a student reported the fire in the park.

Deputy fire chief Matt Troiano said the fire was contained in a 30-foot by 30-foot area because of the student’s quick report and the brush truck’s ability to reach the site directly.

A number of personal belongings were in the area where the fire started.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, but the personal items indicate that it was human-caused.
