FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Highway 97 is closed from Highway 29 (Mile 54) north to the Mile 80 rest stop, according to the Ministry of Transportation.

There are no detours available.

The Fort St. John RCMP is asking those who drive to stay off the highway and out of evacuation order areas so that evacuees, first responders, and fire crews are able to have “uninhibited access to safely and adequately deal with whatever situations present themselves. “
