There were no major damages or injuries after a wildland fire near Charlie Lake on Sunday, according to the PRRD
CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — There were no major damages or injuries after a wildland fire near Charlie Lake on Sunday, according to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD).
The Charlie Lake Fire Department responded to a call around 3:32 p.m. for a wildland fire on the 1300th Block of Highway 29 near 283 Road.Â
Firefighters were on the scene for over four hours and quickly got the fire under control before it spread into a neighbouring property and wooded area.Â

The only damage was to a powerline pole, said the PRRD.
The fire was approximately six acres in size.
