Local business broken into on 101 Avenue

A local business on 101 Avenue was broken into early Thursday morning, according to police.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A local business on 101 Avenue was broken into early Thursday morning, according to police.

The Fort St. John RCMP responded to a break-in alarm at the business located on the 9900 block of 101st Avenue at around 3:30 a.m.

RCMP said front-line officers arrived on the scene to a broken window which a single suspect gained entry through.

The suspect damaged two display cases and took an undetermined amount of items before leaving.

According to the police, the suspect wore all black, or dark, clothing.

The local RCMP is reportedly in the early stages of the investigation and is asking anyone with information to contact the local detachment at 250-787-8100.
