TAYLOR, B.C. – The District of Taylor is holding its World’s Invitational Gold Panning Championships 50th Anniversary at Peace Island Park from July 29th to 31st, and they are looking for volunteers for the event.
This is the first event they’ve held since 2019 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The district says they are looking for volunteers for the Saturday and Sunday events, anywhere between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Sherri Maycock, activity program and events coordinator, says it’s entirely up to the volunteers on how long they stay.
The weekend is full of activities, starting on July 29th with a gold panning parade.
