UPDATE: The highway is now open between the 255 road and the 238 road north of Taylor.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Alaska Highway is now closed between the 255 road and the 238 road north of Taylor.

The highway has been closed due to a collision and Drivebc.ca says there is no detour around the collision at this time.

There was an earlier accident on the north Taylor Hill at around 7 a.m. Tuesday.  That collision involved a single vehicle and caused delays on the north Taylor Hill.

At this time there is no information on what type of vehicles were involved in the second collision between the 255 road and the 238 road.
