DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Dawson Creek and District Chamber of Commerce has issued a letter to Health Minister Adrian Dix in support of the Peace River Regional Hospital District Committee.
Both the Committee and the Chamber are looking for a full and transparent operational audit of all operations of Northern Health.
On November 18th, the PRRHD renewed its memorandum of understanding with Northern Health but called for an audit of the health authority.
“In support of our business community, we believe that effective and efficient medical services and infrastructure is required not only for work-related medical incidents but also in their efforts to recruit and retain employees and their families to our community and South Peace rural communities,” reads the letter to Dix, which was also sent to Premier John Horgan, North Peace MLA Dan Davies and South Peace MLA Mike Bernier.
