VICTORIA — British Columbia reported 430 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and six more deaths.

There were 4,373 active cases and just over 200,000 people who tested positive for the virus were considered to have recovered.

The six deaths brought the fatality count to 2,192 people since the pandemic began.

Two outbreaks in long-term care homes in Fraser Health have been declared over, but there were still 40 active outbreaks in hospitals and long-term care or assisted-living facilities.

From Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, those who weren’t fully vaccinated accounted for 64.5 per cent of the COVID-19 cases diagnosed.

Of those 12 and older who are eligible to be vaccinated in B.C., 85.5 per cent have received both doses of a vaccine.
