Northern Health has launched a booking form for COVID-19 testing following complaints of long wait times on the phone.

The testing form is only for people who reside in the region and are experiencing new COVID-19 like symptoms.

“Please note, testing is not available for asymptomatic individuals, including testing for travel or employer requirements,” states the form.

The form is for each person requiring testing and is available at any time of day.

Anyone accessing the form will be asked to give their reason for needing a test, which will start the booking process.

For parents in need of testing for children under the age of two, the health authority says to call a family doctor or the Northern Health Virtual Clinic at 1-844-645-7811.

The virtual clinic is also available for anyone that needs help with the booking form or self-isolation information.

For anyone who doesn’t know if they qualify for testing, the health authority recommends using the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool.
