Gardner wins big in Grande Prairie

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB. – Fort St. John’s own Jake Gardner had his first big career win this past weekend during the PBR Buck Wild event in Grande Prairie.

Gardner was the only rider to go for a perfect three for three at the event, with over 80 points for each ride. He rode bull Oldsmobile for 82 points, Blue Blood for 83 points, and Lil’ Hooch for 89 points.

In the 5/5 Bucking Battle event, Gardner came in second place with a score of 84.5 and received the Ride of the Night Honours.

Gardner went into the event ranked 26 in PBR Canada Standings, and left the event in the top ten, in ninth place. He currently has 100.33 points with first place rider Dakota Buttar at 210.16 points.
