FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The B.C. Chamber of Commerce has appointed Julie Ziebart to its Board of Directors.

Ziebart was the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce President for 2019-2020. She is joining the B.C. Chamber in 2021-2022 as a Director at Large.

“I am both proud and honoured to be on the Board of Directors for the BC Chamber of Commerce, and will work tirelessly to advance the economic opportunities for businesses, especially as we move forward with BC’s recovery efforts,” says Julie Ziebart, Director at Large, BC Chamber of Commerce.

The process of choosing directors started with nominations, and a voting period between March 29th and April 12th resulted in the highest voter response, says a release.

“The appointment of Ms. Ziebart is fantastic news, as it helps to grow our representation on a very influential provincial board, bringing the insights and voice that speaks on behalf of both the north and the Chamber network,” says Cheryl Montgomery, Executive Director, Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce. “Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role.”

Ziebart will join Michaela Bjorseth in representing northeast B.C. on the Board of Directors.
