TAYLOR, B.C. – The Taylor Bridge will be down to a single lane while an inspection takes place this week.
The province says Highway 97 will be down to single-lane alternating traffic between Big Bam Road and Taylor Bridge just south of Taylor.
Single-lane traffic will be in place from May 18th to May 21st, May 23rd, May 25th to May 29th and May 30th. However, the weekday closures won’t be down to a single lane from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The province says detailed inspections are completed every few years as part of the ministry maintenance and rehab program. The information gained will also help inform the long-term plan for the Taylor Bridge.
Drivers are reminded to follow posted speed limits, traffic control devices and flag persons.
