FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fort St. John Soccer players want to have a season, no matter how different or modified it may be. The problem is, there is a shortage of coaches and volunteers.
Specifically, the U11 division requires volunteers with soccer experience.
“The Fort St. John Soccer Club is looking for volunteers who have soccer experience and would like to give back to the community by mentoring kids,” says coach Darren Snider. “We are specifically looking for coaches in the U11 division.”
The club is looking for junior or adult coaches to help run stations for practices on Mondays and Wednesdays and practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Besides coaching, the club needs some volunteer helpers to make things run smoothly.
“The club is looking for a volunteer who is comfortable with websites to help us update the current website to make it more user-friendly.”
On top of website design, the club needs a COVID-19 manager who keeps attendance and ensures players have completed waivers. The club also needs someone to help out with equipment and jerseys on Mondays and Tuesdays.
“Anyone interested in volunteering for the soccer club, please email [email protected]”
