TAYLOR, B.C. – The Lone Wolf Golf Club opened its driving range and restaurant for the season.
The driving range opened Friday, April 9th, for golfers looking to shake off the winter rust. Despite some cold weather and a light dusting of snow closing the course on Saturday and Sunday, Mayor Rob Fraser says the course looks good.
“I am very excited about this year’s opening of Lone Wolf Golf Course. The course is in great shape,” said Fraser in a release.
The restaurant has been modified to abide by provincial health orders by offering patio dining and take-out service from the window. Orders must be placed at the window in person.
“In these tough times, Council wants to ensure we support our local businesses, so for now, we are offering food and beverage services at the take-out window only.”
There are COVID-19 safety measures clearly posted throughout the club to ensure the safety of golfers and employees.
As long as the weather remains mild, Lone Wolf will be open for regular season play on April 16th.
According to a post on the club’s Facebook page, the full golf course opens Friday, and the pro shop will take bookings starting at noon on Tuesday.
This is the first season that the giant golf ball will not be watching over golfers. The landmark was dismantled in February after being in place for over 20 years.
Call the pro shop at 250-789-3711 or go online for more information.
