HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C – A Prince George man was charged $3,000 for hunting a spike bull elk in a closed season near Hudson’s hope.
In a statement Wednesday, the Conservation Officer Service says the male trespassed on cultivated land to kill the elk.
The investigation, which included the RCMP, concluded the sexual organ and head had been removed from the carcass, which was found in a nearby wooded area. DNA analysis concluded the spike bull head was from the elk carcass. A 15 per cent victim surcharge was also issued.
