VICTORIA, B.C. – There were 42 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday in the Northern Health Region, dropping the active case total to 314.

There are 42 people in hospital, 13 of whom are in Critical Care.

The region had no COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday, keeping the total at 120.

Since last March, there have been 5,641 confirmed cases and 5,194 recoveries in the Northern Health Region.

The province added 716 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, raising the active case count to 5,573.

There are 303 people in hospital, 85 of whom are in Critical Care.

British Columbia added three COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday, bringing the total to 1,441.

Since last spring, there have been 93, 969 confirmed cases and 86,857 recoveries across the province.

The geographic distribution of COVID-19 cases by local health area of residence map was updated for the week of March 14th to 20th.

Peace River North recorded 25 cases, while Peace River South added 74 cases.
