FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -Fort St. John Driving Force has a new program designed specifically for non-profits and community organizations.
The Give’r Truck was delivered on Monday, and sales manager Jim Harris says the 2021 Ford F-150 is ready for organizations around town.
“Driving Force is all about the community and giving back. This was one of the concepts that came up last year. We heard about it in December, and now it’s ready to go,” says Harris.
Harris says in a community like Fort St. John, so many people and businesses donate time, money, and effort to non-profits. The Give’r Truck is free to use for non-profits to help with events, bottle drives, or short haul moves.
“This is just one more added bonus to our community. This will be available year-round.”
Branch Manager Steve Pettifer says most Driving Force locations are implementing the Give’r Truck program.
“Our Grande Prairie location already has one, we’ve now got one, and I think Prince George is getting one. Any of the larger branches will have a Give’r Truck,” says Pettifer.
So far, Pettifer says there has been a lot of inquiries about the truck.
“Nobody’s actually used it yet, but lots of inquiries. It’s created some buzz, which is good.”
Harris says interested organizations should reach out to Driving Force.
“Phone our rentals department, and we’ll look after getting it there, as long as it’s available,” says Harris.
