FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – The first doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine have been administered in Fort St. John.

On Friday, Peace Villa long term care residents, and assisted living residents and those needing long term care at the Fort St. John Hospital (FSJH) were immunized.

The ongoing vaccine rollout will include Heritage Manor residents, and Peace Villa and FSJH staff being immunized next week.

Northern Health says more communities will receive the vaccine as they become approved by Health Canada, and more supplies are received.

Additional information on the vaccine and priority groups can be found on the Government of BC website and the First Nations Health Authority website.
