VANCOUVER, B.C. – A survey has been released showing that 66 percent of British Columbians are coping well with the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The survey, conducted by Insights West, found that 51 percent of the 823 B.C. residents surveyed, between December 16 to 21, rate the job they are doing in coping with the COVID-19 situation as ‘good’ and 15 percent as ‘excellent’.
A further 27 percent say they are doing ‘fair’ while only seven percent say they are doing ‘poorly’.
The survey also found the pandemic has had a disproportionately negative effect on certain segments as females are more likely to provide ‘poor’ or ‘fair’ ratings, 41 percent versus 27 percent of males, as do 18-34 year-olds, 40 percent versus 38 percent of 35-54’s and 26 percent of those 55+, and those with lower incomes; 40 percent of households with incomes less than $75 thousand per year.
The full survey results can be found on Insights West’s website.
