FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Students at Margaret Ma Murray Community School have raised funds for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation in memory of Natalie Small.
The $1,000 raised for the Hospital Foundation was in memory of Natalie Small, a student of the school, who touched many hearts in her short time.
The donation was raised through a gift tree, collection jars, paper cut out feathers for the Angel Wings, and ice cream sandwich sales.
Niki Hedges, Foundation Executive Director, along with Board Director Dr. Kevin Page visited with the students and staff to receive the donation.
In recognition of the student’s efforts, Superintendent Stephen Petrucci and Helen Gilbert, School District 60 Chair also came to congratulate the children.
Natalie Small passed away at the age of 7, on November 3, after a long battle with cancer.
