Elections Officials still needed for October 24 Provincial Election

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Elections B.C. is putting the call out as they are looking to recruit more voting officers for the upcoming Provincial General Election on October 24.

According to District Electoral Officer Eliza Standford, they are currently in need of more voting officers at the voting locations in Fort St. John.

Stanford says training is taking place now and ongoing until everyone is trained.

Each voting officer will be paid $320 for the day, October 24, plus $64 for training.

In addition to voting officers, Standford says they are also in need of counting support which pays $60 for approximately two hours of work.

The hours for the voting officer are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., which includes the 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. voting period.
