Minister Coleman holding out hope Pacific Northwest LNG will be approved in June

VICTORIA, B.C. – Natural Gas Development Minister Rich Coleman continues to hold out hope that Ottawa will issue a permit for the province’s biggest proposal Liquefied Natural Gas project before the end of next month.

In an interview with CHNL in Kamloops, Mr. Coleman has said again that Pacific Northwest LNG needs the permit before it can move forward with its final investment decision on the Lelu Island Project.

Mr. Coleman is also quoted as saying he expects a final investment decision on the Royal Dutch Shell, LNG Canada proposal before the end of the year.
