Power outages close schools in the Peace
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Due to power outages across the Peace region, multiple rural elementary schools are closed today.
Reports also have said that Upper Pine and Upper Halfway elementary schools are closed as well.

The school district plans to re-open schools on Wednesday, given that it’s safe to do so.
BC Hydro says, “Crews continue to work throughout the day to restore outages from yesterday’s wind storm in the North Interior Region of the province as quickly and safely as possible. We thank you for your patience.”
There are still 22 power outages across the Peace region. It’s estimated over 3,000 customers have been left without power.
