Grande Prairie RCMP seek answers in bear spray incident

GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. — Several people have suffered minor injuries after a man used bear spray outside of a night club in Grande Prairie and fled the scene early Sunday morning.

At about 2:21 a.m. that morning, Grande Prairie RCMP received a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of Maddhatter’s Night Club.

Officers determined after arriving to the scene that a suspect, whose identity is unknown to police, used bear spray and took off.

Police in Grande Prairie are still trying to piece together what exactly happened to lead to the incident, and are asking anyone who either saw the incident unfold or know any more about it to contact them.
