Canadians hang up red tape to send the government a message
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — For the entire month of April, Canadians will be banding together to show the Feds how much red tape they feel is preventing crucial decisions from being made.
The event, which takes place for the entire month of April, invites people to hang red tape along highways – or even just on their car – to show their support for the movement.
Bobbie Spencer organized the local red tape ride after hearing that the Bud Country Fever Music festival, based out of Grande Prairie, had been cancelled.
Though she says she’s for LNG projects in B.C., Spencer says the cause is about drawing attention to a lack of initiative from the government to make decisions that could fix the economy.
