Tristen Nielsen off to Winter Youth Olympic Games
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fort St. John product and Calgary Hitmen prospect Tristen Nielsen has been selected to lace up the skates in Lillehammer, Norway for Team Canada at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. The games will take place this February 12-21.
Currently playing for Edge School Midget Prep in Calgary Nielsen has 18 goals and seven assists through 23 games this season. He was drafted by the Hitmen 20th overall last May in the WHL Bantam Draft.
His achievements this season include winning gold for Team Alberta in November at the Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup.
