City Council has approved a request to use two transit vehicles for an upcoming Christmas light tour for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
This year, the organization ‘Better at Home’ will be hosting the tour on December 9, from 6:30 – 9 PM. They came to council last year with the same request.
The cost of lending the transit vehicles is approximately $200.
The City says this is to cover the operational costs of the buses only, as the drivers’ time is being donated.
Diversified Transportation/Peace Country Transit was involved with the tour last year, and has also once again agreed to donate the drivers’ time for this tour.
