Tomorrow, BC’s third annual international LNG conference begins at the Vancouver Convention Centre – and Fort St. John will be represented by none other than Mayor Lori Ackerman.
Mayor Ackerman is speaking on Thursday, October 15th.
Others locals of the region who will be speaking include:
- Dr. Bryn Kulmatycki, President and CEO of Northern Lights College
- Mike Bernier, Minister of Education and Peace River South MLA

A full list of speakers can be found here.
The three-day conference is designed to address investment and innovation of LNG, and spark future partnerships.
Attendees will hear from a variety of representatives – including First Nations groups, energy corporations, and post-secondary institutes that offer trades programs focused on LNG.
The BC Government has proclaimed October 11th to 17th Natural Gas Week – and says updates from the event will be sent out through the official twitter @BCJobsPlan.
The hashtag #LNGinBC2015 can be used to engage with the conference and discussion on LNG.
