Grande Prairie RCMP looking to identify armed robbery suspect

Grande Prairie RCMP is asking the public for assistance in locating a man responsible for an armed robbery at the Avondale Convenience Store. The robbery happened just before 11:30 a.m. on September 26.

The individual is believed to have been armed with a can of bear mace. He approached the clerk and demanded money. As the panic button was pushed by the employee, the suspect made away with the entire cash drawer heading west.

He’s described as 5’6″ with a slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie which was pulled over his head, a black neck warmer over his face, and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call 780-830-5700, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
