This is the one that if approved will deliver North Montney natural gas from a point near Hudson’s Hope to a proposed Pacific Northwest LNG export facility at Port Edward, near Prince Rupert.

Trans-Canada has been selected, by now Petronas owned, Progress Energy to design, build, own and operate the proposed pipeline project.

There’s no indication what Mr. Dunn will choose as the focus of his address, but Trans-Canada is weighing a wide range of factors prior to determining the final pipeline route.

This is one of two major, Trans-Canada, natural gas pipeline projects, proposed to connect Canada’s Northwest coast to the Peace Region.

The other is the 650 kilometer Coastal GasLink Pipeline which will run from the Groundbirch area near Dawson Creek to a proposed LNG facility near Kitimat.

As reported earlier it will be the subject of four public feedback sessions over eight days beginning in Chetwynd on March 27th.
