The largest fire is 60 kilometres southeast of Fort Nelson, and currently covers 450 hectares. Luckily the area received rain yesterday, which will help in its monitoring.

There is a 100 hectare fire burning 1 kilometre west of Wendy Lake in the Fort St. John Fire Zone, but with four initial attack crews and rain, it experienced no growth yesterday, and is expected to be quiet today.

The public is urged to be careful with fire use, as human-caused wildfires take away resources and crews from naturally occurring wildfires.Li
