The Energetic Learning Campus has a new tentative completion date – September 19th.

Although originally intended to be open for the start of classes in September, there has been a hold up with lighting suppliers, which has slowed down construction.

Luckily, the Pomeroy Sport Centre in which the facility is held has extra space and meeting rooms.

It will be allowing the school district to use them in the interim.

All grade 10 students registered to attend the ELC will be notified to show up there Tuesday morning.

The grand opening of the ELC is scheduled for October 17th.

Pending final confirmation, Superintendent Larry Espe says it’s looking like Minister of Education George Abbott will be taking part in the opening.

The ELC is expected to house between 170 and 200 grade 10 students and their teachers in its first year.
