Tembec Pulp Mill fire near Chetwynd

Fire crews from all over the BC peace region are fighting a fire at the Chetwynd Tembec pulp mill.

Fire crews from Dawson Creek and Fort St. John were called into help shortly after 5pm Wednesday. At last report the fire was affecting part of the Tembec building and some product piles.

The smoke from the fire can be seen for miles away as crews try and battle a very windy evening.

There are even reports that a helicopter has been brought in to help fight the fire.
