GP dog owner fined after attack

In Grande Prairie, the owner of a rottweiler, who bit a toddler at a city ball diamonds complex last month, has been fined two hundred dollars, under terms of a municpal animal control bylaw.

Back on May 10th, the three year old was at a ball game in which her parents were participating on opposite teams.

The toddler was walking back and forth between the dugouts, when the dog bit her in the face.
She was flown to Edmonton hospital, where she required 150 stitches during two hours of surgery.

There are conflicting reports as to what led to the attack, with some saying the toddler fell on the dog, and others claiming the dog lunged at her.
