Ecole Central wins SD-60 speech competition

Students from Ecole Central talked their way to victory on Thursday, at School District 60’s annual speech competition, at the North Peace Cultural Centre.

Ecole Central’s Ben Blackman won the top prize, while his colleague Jocelyn Tremain earned second place overall. Taylor Michell, of Bert Ambrose School, came in third.

The team of judges also gave an honourable mention to MacKenzie Vander Gaag (Ecole Central) and Keira Cushway (Baldonnel), and made special mention on the overall quality of all of the speeches delivered.

Ecole Central was also named the top school in the contest, with Bert Ambrose in second, and Baldonnel in third.
