It’s the end of an era for an iconic building in Fort St. John.
Workers are slowly ripping away what’s left of the old Fort Motors dealership located on 100th Street.
The building’s frame has a unique history. The steel was previously used in administrative buildings when the W.A.C. Bennett dam was constructed nearly 50 years ago. After the project’s completion, the steel was scooped up, and relocated to downtown Fort St. John.
Fort Motors occupied the building until 2007.
The building been vacant since then, and the steel has once again been sold. The lot is now currently for sale.
