Cancer relay early-bird signup deadline looming

There’s still time to take advantage of the early-bird signup for the Fort St. John Relay for Life event.

The Canadian Cancer Society is once again holding the fundraiser, and is giving residents the opportunity to save five dollars in registration fees. Registration will be only $10.00 until Sunday, January 31st. After that, the rate will go up to $15.00.

Relay for Life participants take part in a 12 hour walk/run relay. The purpose is to celebrate cancer survivors and remembers loved ones, while fighting back against all cancers through fundraising. Participants can enter as a team or as an individual.

Each participant is asked to solicit donations leading up to the main event.

This year’s relay will be held at the Dr. Kearney School on May 29th from noon until midnight.
