Busy weekend for the Blizzard Bike Club

The Blizzards had another busy weekend with riders in Stony Plain, Beauce, Quebec and Cecil Lake.
Colter Young was 28th at the Junior National Road Championships in Beauce, Quebec. He was in a large group that was 23 seconds back of the winner.
Seven Triathletes were at the Stony Plain Half Ironman, Sunday. A ‘Half’ is a 1.9 k swim, 90 km bike and 21 k run, all together!
Times are below: First, far left, is their finish with others in their age class. Next right is swim time, then bike time, run time and then far right is total time of all three.

Gary Hilderman won the local 70 km Cecil Lake road race by inches over Pat Ferris and Kevin Shaw. Their group time was 2:07:10. Sam Keats edged out Owen Giebelhaus to get 4th at 2:11:10. Ken Nix was 6th at 2:17:42 and Francis Plum 7th at 2:24:30. Brandon Joice had 1:52:31 for the 45 km.
Coming up:
-Thursday Baldonnel time trial at 7 pm
-Sunday Challenge Cup time trials at 10: 00 am at the Cecil Lake gravel pit.
