The BC party leaders, televised debate last night, was generally tame with most of the controlled skirmishes between Premier Campbell and NDP leader Carole James.
When it was over those who voted, declared James the narrow winner, with 36 percent support in an on-line Ipsos-Reid Poll. Tonight, the five Peace River North Candidates in the May 12th election, have been invited, to take part in another debate. The two hour forum is set for seven o’clock at the Hudson’s Hope Community Hall.
Meantime, four consecutive days of advance voting this week begin on Wednesday, with the polls open from 8am to 8pm.
In the local riding they will be at the Stonebridge Hotel, in Fort St. John…The District Office, in Taylor…the Pearkes Centre, in Hudson’s Hope…and the Community Centre, in Fort Nelson.
However, you are again reminded, it is also possible to vote in advance at the Peace River North Electoral District Office, in Fort St. John from Monday to Friday, during the hours of 9am to 5pm…and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
This voting option will remain in place until election day but on May 12th, the voting hours will be 8am to 4pm. The office is located at 100-16, 106th street.
